Experience the Great Sand Dunes National Park with Pathfinders 4x4. Running trips since 2005.
The Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve is the iconic wonder of the San Luis Valley. Home of the tallest dunes in North America, this park and preserve is a must visit and we highly recommend a guided jeep tour. Pathfinders 4x4 was founded in 2005 providing guided jeep tours within the GSDNP and jeep rentals. Narrow Ridge, has partnered with Pathfinders to continue to provide remarkable experiences.
Half Day Guided Tour
Location - This tour travels up the rugged Medano Creek 4x4 trail beside the edge of the dune field and through the aluvial fan of the Sangre de Cristo mountains. Along the way, we will stop at various points and get out to explore the creek, have snacks, identify plants, take pictures, and try sandboarding too if you like! The scenery and views from this part of the park and preserve are just incredible. This is definitely the best way to experience the park.
Duration - Our morning trips meet at 8am and return about 12:30pm. In the summer, the dunes are quite hot during the middle of the day so we tend to begin afternoon tours between 2pm and 4pm.
Cost - $450.00
Includes snacks, sand boarding, and is for up to 4 people
