Experience the Rio Grande! We offer guided half day river trips on the Upper Rio Grande river. The scenic sections of river we guide are Class II+ and fun for the whole family. Mountain Man Rafting was established in 1985 in Creede, CO and is still the only guided rafting company authorized to float the beautiful and fun stretches near Wagon Wheel Gap and Creede. Now part of Narrow Ridge, we continue to provide exceptional river trips based out of 8200 Mountain Sports in South Fork. Let our professional guides share with you the wonders and excitement of rafting on the Upper Rio Grande river!
Half Day - Our Half Day trips are loads of fun. Choose either a 9am or 1pm trip. We provide Personal Floatation Devices (PFDs), splash gear, and river booties. We run trips rain or shine!
Full Day - Our Full Day trips provide your group a more personalized experience. With just one or two rafts, your group will float between 15 and 20 miles, enjoy a gourmet sandwich lunch, and get to spend the day taking it all in!
Photos - Our shuttle drivers and guides will take a variety of photos of your trip. These pictures will be available for purchase within two days of your trip.

Half Day Guided Rafting
Location - We guide a few different sections of the Upper Rio Grande throughout the season. Most frequently we float the scenic and fun Wagon Wheel Gap section. All trips meet & end at 8200 Mountain Sports in South Fork.
Duration - Morning trips leave at 9am & return by noon. Afternoon trips leave at 1pm & return by 4pm. We usually float between 8 to 12 miles and are on the water for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.

Full Day Guided Rafting
Location - We typically launch at Deep Creek near Creede, stop at the Wagon Wheel Gap for lunch and then continue down to the Coller State Wildlife Areas. But there are a number of sections we float depending on flows and group interest. All trips meet & end at 8200 Mountain Sports in South Fork.
Duration - Full Day trips depart between 9am and 10am. We are usually back between 4:30pm and 5pm. We like to float around 15-20 miles and spend about 5 hours on the water for our Full Day trips.
Cost - One or two rafts per trip

Lunch - Gourmet specialty sandwiches made fresh by our friends at Simple Foods Market in Del Norte. Each lunch includes a sandwich, chips, and a drink.
